I/D Cologne parking garage

I/D Cologne – the new quarter in Cologne’s Schanzenviertel – creates space for around 7,000 jobs. By 2026, eleven buildings with around 160,000 m² gross floor area will be built. dip handed over the ultra-modern car park with around 900 parking spaces to Art-Invest Real Estate and OSMAB Holding AG on schedule.

West and east facades form one of the largest facade greenings in Germany with around 5,000, some evergreen, creeping and climbing plants on 2,000 m². The irrigation takes place with collected rainwater via an automated, resource-saving irrigation system. Clinker brick facades on the gable ends with stylized “windows” made of expanded metal take up the industrial neighborhood buildings.

The innovative multi-storey car park has a promising security concept, contactless payment systems using license plate recognition and additional e-charging stations. In addition to comprehensive camera surveillance and several emergency call buttons, the security concept also includes bright lighting, which is now one of the basic requirements for new car park buildings.
